The Datalogic S300 is a heavy-duty photoelectric sensor in a 25 x 100 x 70 mm housing with terminal-block wiring. It is built for long distances, outdoor or dusty areas, and machines where a relay output or AC supply is needed, such as gates, cranes, timber, steel and bulk material handling.

All versions are IP67. The PR versions in glass-fibre reinforced PBT work from -40 to 55 °C.
Why choose a relay output?
A relay (RX) version can switch a contactor, lamp or small motor directly, with up to 3 A at 250 Vac. It also accepts a wide supply range, from 24 to 240 Vac or 24 to 60 Vdc. This makes it ideal for simple control panels without a PLC. The trade-off is speed: relay versions switch at about 25 Hz, while open-collector (OC) versions switch up to 500 Hz.

Installation tips
- For through-beam pairs, order both the emitter (EX) and the receiver (OC or RX).
- Align the beam at short range first, then move to the final distance.
- Use the sensitivity trimmer and the light/dark (D/L) setting to match the application.
