The Datalogic SM series is a family of subminiature photoelectric sensors in a polycarbonate housing rated IP67. They are designed for machines where every millimetre counts, such as small assembly stations, laboratory equipment, vending and small packaging machines.

All SM models use a red LED (640 nm), run on 10 … 30 Vdc, switch up to 50 mA, have a 2 m cable and work from -20 to 55 °C.
What is a fixed-focus sensor?
A fixed-focus sensor concentrates its light at one distance (15 or 50 mm for the SM). Objects at that distance are detected reliably, while the background further away is largely ignored. This makes fixed-focus models good at detecting small parts close to the sensor.
Through-beam needs a pair
The SM-PR-2-F00-PP is the receiver of a through-beam pair. A through-beam system needs a matching emitter; ask us for the correct partner model when ordering.
